Born Declan MacManus, Elvis Costello's first public performance dates back to 1969, but didn't begin his recording career until late 1976, which he started one of over ten albums named My Aim Is True. Elvis Costello continued with more albums such as Get Happy, Spike, This Year's Model and Kojak Variety. During that time he toured with The Attractions and in 1993 he branched off and started a solo career.
