Georgios (Yorgos) Kyriacos Panayiotou aka George Michael was born on 25th June 1963 in London, England. George Michael’s career took off with the million-selling duo Wham. Wham was one of the most commercially successful, teen-orientated bands of the 80s. The Duo split in 1986, and George Michael started a solo career. Over the last twenty years, George Michael has scored massive hits. In March 2002, George Michael returned to the charts with the one-off single "Freeek!". A few months later, he released the controversial song “Shoot The Dog”, baiting US President George W. Bush and UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.
