The Hanson brothers were raised in Tulsa, Trinidad, Ecuador and Venezuela. Hanson's first live performance as a band was more than ten years ago in 1992, when drummer Zac was only six years old. In 1997, Hanson released the Middle of Nowhere album which was supported by the infectious pop single "MmmBop," which was a huge success in the UK as well as in the US. MmmBop earned Hanson three 1998 Grammy nominations for the band, including Record of the Year, Best New Artist and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals. Middle of Nowhere was a great commercial success, and spawned another big hit: "I Will Come to You". Hanson released their third album "Underneath" in the Spring of 2004. It took Hanson more than three years to produce the album, which is an epic, dynamic alternative guitar rock/pop oriented album with fourteen great original songs. The album certainly shows that Hanson has established themselves as well respected adult rock artists.
