Pianist
and television host Julian Holland was born on 24 January 1958 in Deptford,
London, England. In 1974 Jools Holland joined Squeeze, which featured
Deptford residents Glen Tilbrook and Chris Difford. Signed to Deptford
Fun City in 1978, Squeeze scored a number of hits. In 1980, he formed
the Millionaires with Mike Paice, Pino Palladino and Martin T. Deegan.
In 1983 he decided to go solo. He also presented the UK television pop
show The Tube, which made him a popular television host. In 1992, he presented
the well known BBC2 Television series, Later With Jools Holland. Nowadays,
he continues to tour with his well established orchestra, The Rhythm &
Blues Orchestra. |
